Delete Your Account or Data

You can permanently delete your entire Yuzify account, or just specific pieces of your data without deleting your account, at any time. This page explains both options and exactly what happens to your data.

Delete specific data (keep your account)

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific things. From the app:

Profile photos — Profile → Edit Profile → remove individual photos
Bio — Profile → Edit Profile → clear or edit your bio text
An activity you created — open the activity → Delete
An activity you joined — open the activity → Leave/Remove yourself

These are removed immediately and permanently. If you'd rather we do it for you, or want data removed that isn't editable in-app, email us below and tell us exactly what to delete.

Delete your entire account

Option 1: Delete in the app (fastest)

Open the Yuzify app and sign in
Go to Profile → Settings
Tap Delete Account
Confirm when prompted

Your account and data are deleted immediately — no waiting period.

Option 2: Request full account deletion by email

If you can't access the app (lost access, forgot your password, etc.), email us from the address associated with your account, or include your registered phone number / username, and we'll verify and delete your account for you.

We aim to process email requests within 7 business days.

What gets deleted

Data	What happens
Profile info (name, username, photos, bio, interests, DOB, gender)	Deleted immediately
Email, phone number	Deleted immediately
Activities you created or joined	Deleted or unlinked from your identity immediately
Messages, friend connections	Deleted immediately
Account credentials	Deleted immediately

What may be retained

A limited set of records may be kept for a short period after deletion, strictly where needed for legal, security, or financial-compliance reasons:

Payment/subscription records — retained as required for tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention purposes (financial record-keeping requirements), independent of your account deletion
Reports or moderation records involving your account — may be retained to investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, or comply with law, even after account deletion
Backups — deleted data may persist in routine system backups for up to 30 days before being fully purged

None of this retained data is used to restore your account or shown to other users — your profile and public presence on Yuzify are removed immediately upon deletion.
